So I have decided to start doing the P.I.N.K Method (Power, Intensity, Nutrition and Cardio)
http://www.pinkmethod.com/
My mom saw it on The Doctors and kept talking about it and finally bought it for myself and her (for Christmas)
It is by far the hardest thing I have done and I'm only on Day 2. The first 7-14 days (Depends on your weight/height) is a "Reset"/Detox where you have a Breakfast Smoothie (3 different options but I'm sticking to the one that involves coconut milk, vanilla protein powder and strawberry instead of things with beets and other weird stuff). For lunch and dinner you have 4 oz of a protein (For me that means fish, tofu, eggs, beans, cottage cheese) and vegetables- essentially you can have as many as you want. Snacks are also vegetables. To drink you can have water, coffee, green tea or herbal tea and you are supposed to drink water according to your weight. You can also use vegetable cooking spray; Low calorie salad dressing (up to 2 tablespoons daily) and Reduced Fat Mayo (Up to 2 tablespoons daily). Then there are about 22 different spices and seasonings (Balsamic vinegar, basil, black pepper, oregano, Italian seasoning).
Do you know how hard it is to say I'm going to have collard greens with Italian seasoning and unsweetened tomato sauce as a snack? Regardless I am really excited to try something new and make it through the Detox. Then there is the Primary where you add more food and exercise... Right now you can do up to 15 minutes if you really want to.
For those that don't know I started a new job which is the only way I could possibly do this diet because I have "normal" hours and since I'm not consciously exercising right now I can prep my food the night before which makes life so much easier.
So I will try really hard to give updates. Yesterday I had my breakfast shake, Lunch was shrimp and lettuce with raspberry vinagarette dressing and mushrooms with italian seasoning for snack then I had salmon and vegatables with some dressing for dinner.
Today I met our school liason so we all went out to lunch at Chevys (Eek) but I did well I drank alot of water and ordered a shrimp bowl which had rice (not good) but also veggies and I don't know the seasoning.. I had a few chips but I think I did really well and I cut my food in half.. Not upset with myself about the situation because I would normally order cheese enchiladas which have to be crazy fattening.
